How Much Can I Afford?
The first step is to talk to a lender and find out how much house you can comfortably afford before we start the house-hunting process. Having a pre-approval letter in hand and ready to submit when it’s time to write an offer will put you in a better position than a buyer who has not gone through the pre-approval process.

Let the Hunting Begin!
You likely have an idea of the type of home you’re looking for – number of bedrooms and baths, one- or two-story or multi-level, single-family or condo, type of garage and location. After you determine what think you might be looking for, I can set up a search for you that will automatically email listings to you as they come on the market. This allows a low-pressure method for you to review the data sheets at your leisure and determine the pros and cons to each home. Or if you prefer, I can also mail listings to you through the US Postal Service.

Once you decide on a few homes you would like to see, I arrange for these private showings at a time that is convenient for you. For some buyers, it may take just a couple of weeks to find the right home, while for others it may take several months. The experience is different for everyone, but be assured you will “know” when you walk into your new home.

Time to Write an Offer!
Writing an offer is an exciting time, but it can also be filled with anxiety! I will be with you through the entire process, available to answer all your questions. And if I don’t know the answer to any question, I promise to find the answer for you. When the offer is accepted, I will provide you with a timeline of due dates according to the terms of the contract to help keep you on track with the progress of everything.

The Closing
You decided to buy a house. You decided what type of house you wanted. You sifted through numerous listings. You viewed home after home after home. You wrote an offer. Your offer was accepted. And alas – it’s Closing Day! I attend the closing for every one of my buyers, providing you any support you need. During the closing you will review and sign loan documents and additional paperwork necessary to “close the deal.” It is at this time, as well, that you are given the keys to your new home.
